In this day and age, in a world of 24/7 connectivity there is also a need for increased productivity, and so it's hardly a surprise that coffee is the world's second-largest commodity. Coffee consumption is pretty universal, crossing both geographic and cultural boundaries. Given that nearly every one of us is either an avid or casual consumer of coffee, it's time to look back at the coffee innovations that made coffee culture what it is today.
