Colorado Uranium-Mill Still A Go Despite Japan's Nuclear Nightmare

A plan to mine and mill uranium on Colorado's Western Slope, to fuel nuclear power plants both in the U.S. and internationally, will move ahead -- despite the battle in Japan to contain damage at nuclear power plants after Friday's earthquake, an executive with Energy Fuels Inc. said Tuesday.

The Japanese nuclear power plants were damaged after an earthquake triggered a tsunami, which knocked out backup diesel generators intended to produce power in an emergency to keep the nuclear fuel cool.
