Capital Airline Flight Attendants Dance Safety Demonstration To Lady Gaga (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/17/11 09:20 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:40 PM ET

Yes! They're at it again: Capital Airlines stole Cebu Pacific's thunder and performed their in-flight safety demonstration to Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" last week.

Though not terribly inventive (at least pick a different Lady Gaga song!), the flight attendants put on a happy face and danced in the plane's aisles.

If there was a grading scale for this sort of thing, this would get a 4 out of 10 (with Cebu stealing the top prize) and perhaps Southwest's awesome rapping flight attendant coming in second.

Unlike the Cebu performance, and contrary to what the article claims, this sloppy spoof was not performed "in-flight"; both engine startups can be clearly heard in the first minute of the video.

Sorry girls, but that's a fail for wrong timing ... and poor choreography.

Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?
Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.
Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

Elaine Dickinson: There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

not only does this get your attention better, it is far less boring for both the passengers and the flight attendants im sure. it also establishes a bit of a positive vibe as far as whether or not you are wondering if the flight attendants are friendly/fun or not. I see nothing wrong with this, if you see something wrong with it you need to stop being such a SQUARE.

I would rather be a live square, than a dead hipster. Your life and the lives of those around you are more important than if the flight attendants are friendly or not. They will be decidedly un-friendly if you have to make for the exits and you hesitate which direction to go or do not look down to see the aisle lights in a smoke filled cabin. I find that a "Hi. How are ya?" and a smile coming on board establishes that positive vibe more than anything else.
