Los Angeles Art Exhibitions, Concerts, and Red Carpet Events: The Weekend In Review

PHOTOS: Out And About In LA This Weekend

The LA art scene was bustling this past weekend with three major art exhibitions opening around town. On Saturday, March 19, OHWOW Gallery in Los Angeles celebrated the opening of its exhibition of artist Scott Campbell's work, aptly titled Scott Campbell: Noblesse Oblige . Celebrities like Chloe Sevigny and Marilyn Manson were on hand to celebrate alongside Campbell and take in the art. Elsewhere, RIVERA & RIVERA on Robertson inaugurated its West Hollywood location with a celebration that included a traveling installation of sculptures and paintings by artist Ray Turner. Filmmaker David Lynch also had an opening reception on Saturday for his newest exhibition, which is on display at the William Griffin Gallery in Santa Monica. Lynch's paintings and sculptures were on display for attendees like actress Laura Dern, Gina Gershon, and musician Brandon Boyd.

On Sunday, the focus around LA seemed to switch to youngsters and fundraisers. At the Skirball Cultural Center, stars like Jack Black, Julie Bowen, and Ashlee Simpson brought their children out for nonprofit organization MILK + BOOKIES' Second Annual Story Time Celebration. The event aimed to help give books to underprivileged children and promote literacy. Across town, tween sensations like the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez had kids screaming in their seats at the Gibson Ampitheatre, during the 3rd Annual Concert for Hope. Proceeds from the concert raised money for cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope.
