UPDATE: The NHL suspended Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke for the rest of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs for his hit on Ryan McDonagh of the New York Rangers.

Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke is at it again. The Penguins winger, who was suspended for a dirty hit in early February, delivered another brutal hit in Sunday's game against the New York Rangers.

Early in the third period with the game tied at one, Cooke charged at New York's Ryan McDonagh and elbowed him in the head.

Cooke received a a five-minute major and a game misconduct. McDonagh was not injured and did not have to leave the game.

The Rangers went on to score four goals in the final period and win 5-2.

The 32-year-old was suspended for four games in February after he hit Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin from behind.
