Larry King Remembers Elizabeth Taylor

Larry King appeared on the "Today" show Wednesday morning to remember his friend Elizabeth Taylor, who died on Wednesday at 79.

King said he had gotten very close to the legendary actress. "She was a broad," he said. "She was gutsy. She had it all."

King recalled the first time he interviewed Taylor--he had, he said, been completely intimidated--and the last note she sent him, on the occasion of his final episode of "Larry King Live."

"She would come in the door and...you knew Elizabeth was in the room, he said. "She did not go quietly into this good night. I bet she fought this death all the way."
