The Craziest Things Michele Bachmann Has Ever Said (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 03/25/11 10:25 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:40 PM ET

It looks like Tea Party favorite Michele Bachmann is getting ready to launch a 2012 Presidential campaign, which means one thing for us: more opportunities for Michele Bachmann to say ridiculous things. We've decided to commemorate her zaniness before she even picks a campaign slogan with the craziest things she's ever said. She's no Christine O'Donnell (boy, do we miss her!) but she's spouted her fair share of crazy over the years. See our favorites below and vote for your favorite!

Enforced Homosexuality

"And what a bizarre time we're in, when a judge will say to little children that you can't say the pledge of allegiance, but you must learn that homosexuality is normal and you should try it."

She has as much chance of getting elected as Glen Beck.

I find laying into gay people just such a lowest common denominator move in a politics, its like something out of the school yard but blasted over mass media. Its bigotry and ignorance dressed up as morality.

Im British and civil unions have been legal here for years now as they have in the vast majority of Western Europe and it hasn't made a blind bit of difference, all it's done is right a social wrong by letting consenting adult tax paying citizens actually marry who they want to marry because it's their damn life!

Statistically a couple of her 25 kids will be gay can't wait for them to drop that bomb shell on her.

Um, her comment didn't say anything about "enforced homosexuality". Her hypothetical judge said 1) You can't say the Pledge; 2) You must learn that homosexuality is normal; and 3) You *should* try it.

I would love to see this:

I don't think Bachman would stand a chance against this young student.

Who really thinks the pledge of allegiance is wrong? Who really would choose for their child to be homosexual? Why is it crazy to think that saying the pledge is a good thing? Is there anything as noble in being homosexual as there can be in being an American? Is there anything wrong with being proud of your country and/or your sexuality? Who has the right to cast stones regarding patriotism or sexuality? Liberals and christers are equally insane you know.

Nobody is preventing school children from saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Courts have ruled that children cannot be compelled to say the Pledge using the words "Under God" because such a compulsion violates the First Amendment's prohibition against establishing a State religion. If they want to acknowledge God they should do so in CHURCH.

Had a pleasure of living in her district for 4 years. It makes perfect sense why she represents that district. Everyone is at least a cousin in Sterns and Shurburne counties. Hardly anything's left at the bottom of the gene pool there. But hey, we also brought you Al Franken. So, enjoy the variety of Minnesota!

Interesting. I'd been wondering how the sensible folks in MN would elect someone like this (actually this is reminiscent of the Wisconsin Repubs, but I digress), and now I guess we have an answer.
And Franken, nothin'. how about Ventura?

Calling all citizens of Iowa UN-American and now thinking she can win the State is a bit over the top for me. I suppose a few may have total memory loss but I sure don't.

"But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States."

Okay, she must have failed elementary school considering that many of the founding fathers were slave holders and some very outspoken about keeping their slaves. Even Washington and Jefferson theirs.
