Katy Perry: 'E.T.' Video Stills Released (PHOTOS)

Katy Perry has worn some wild costumes before. This one is out of this world.

The pop megastar constantly shakes up her look, creating a fantasy land of different disguises: she's gone sexy toy soldier; worn a latex catsuit; gone adult-style Candyland; and even suited up in seven unique outfits for the Kids Choice Awards, including goth, hippie and geek.

For her new "E.T." remix video, she's going off into space, donning a purple face, alien features and quite the head dress.

She's gone public with this look before, appearing with song collaborator Kanye West in semi-costume. But when the video drops next week, movie magic is sure to take her to the next level. For more photos, click over to idolator.com.

I don't think she needed to resort to this. First, it does make her look like she's trying to be more Gaga-like. Second, the song is about her making out with an alien, not being one. But if she was going to go down this road, they shouldn't have painted in her cleft chin. Yikes.

Also, it's not an improvement over the latex, Easter egg wig, and candy theme. She's a pretty girl, and she should just be natural. The other artists who rely too heavily on gimmicks aren't naturally pretty. Then again, I'm not a tween. What do I know?

exactly. when the song was simply about making out with an alien the song had a deap meaningful context that had you thinking for days. but now how am I supposed to take it seriously?
