Bradley Manning Threatened Stepmother With Knife, 911 Call Suggests (AUDIO)

Pfc. Bradley Manning, the man who stands accused of leaking more than half a million classified government documents to WikiLeaks, threatened his stepmother with a knife in 2006, a 911 call recently released by Frontline alleges.

"Yes I need an officer here at my house please. And I need him here immediately. My husband's 18-year-old son is out of control and just threatened me with a knife. And his father has just had surgery and he is down on the floor... Get away from him! You, get away from him! Get away from him!" the wife of Manning's father can be heard telling the Oklahoma City dispatcher.

After the situation calms down, she continues: "He ain't staying here. I ain't staying here with him. You better find somewhere for him to go because he ain't staying here."

Frontline reports that Manning was soon thereafter picked up by police, though never arrested nor charged. The next day, Manning left the house and didn't come back.

The charges surrounding Manning's contentious confinement at Quantico Marine Base include an alleged violation of the Espionage Act and 22 additional charges recently filed by the military -- one which carries the death penalty.

Bradley betrayed his fellows and put American soldiers at risk by his actions put what ever face you want on it he betrayed Americans and subjected them risk from terrorists. He took an oath to protect and defend this country he violated that oath. There are people he could have revealed this to without endangering his fellows. He deserves to go to prison for a long time just like the Walkers. What he did was no different.

Manning's crimes are particularly heinous in nature. If there was ever a crime that demanded capital punishment, this is it. Much of the horrible bloodshed we now see in the middle east is a direct result of Comrade Manning.

Have you lost your ever-loving mind? You're blaming the Iraq, Afghanistan, and now almost-Libya wars on Bradley Manning? Have you ever even SEEN the inside of the military intelligence community? The people at the top are some of the most conniving, amorale jerkwads you'll ever meet, and they don't care if you think their orders are unlawful or at best immorale and against Geneva Conventions. It's an order, SO DO IT. Didn't take me long to get the heck out of there, and THANK GOD I did.
The DoD does this to everyone who breaks their little rules. It's happened to me at least twice in my short Army career, on a much smaller scale of course, but they smeared the heck out of my good name. Why? Because I stood up and said "You know what? NO. You are WRONG, and I'm not afraid to expose you."
If the US is committing war crimes and keeping things secret ONLY to cover their butts (while conditioning soldiers to believe men like Manning are breaking the law for exposing classified information) they DESERVE to be stood up to. They deserve to have this stuff leaked. No one is dying because of Wikileaks, or Manning. If anything is dying right now, it is our liberties, at the hands of the men you trust.

NO ONE should EVER go to jail for exposing war crimes. Period. If you think Manning deserves punishment, you deserve nothing you've been given.

"Not threatening" you say? Good Grief, he was waiving his knife in a threatening manner at this old women. To make the situation worse, this assaultive conduct was in a private home. Sadly, the police often sweep domestic violence cases like this under the rug, especially when it involves active duty military (most police served in the military at one time or another). The HuffPost shows courage and professionalism for telling the story as it was.

Darlie Brewster is right! This is a fraud. Please listen to the tape before you comment. This woman was not scared for her life. And in no way was she behaving like someone whose life was threatened. This is suddenly out there with phony headlines when the heat has been ratcheted by against the U.S government and the president. Let the smear campaign begin in full earnest.

To be fair, it sounds like he grew up in a bad and very frustrating household, and on this night in particular it got so bad that he felt the need to grab a knife. Although, after further investigation, it looks like this is just one big dirty smear.

We know who the real criminals are. Our military is bugging out about these documents putting "soldiers and civilians at risk" because these documents show very plainly that we have done quite a few morally questionable things, you know, like "Collateral Murder". Sure would like to know when the military plans to do something about the guy who piloted that Apache.

Kinda reminds me of some lyrics from that John Mellencamp song, Rain On The Scarecrow.

This seems to be the Manning version of the "sexual assault" charges against JA in Sweden. When the government is willing to do ANYTHING to discredit this man, it would be foolish to believe this story at its face value. (I'm surprised the story doesn't include him kicking a puppy.)

Too bad that 911 call didn't happen in Detroit. Here, a 'stepmom' like that would be cut and that'd be the end of it. She's an interloper after Bradleys' Dad's 'money'. 2006 Bradley Manning is standing in his kitchen making lunch and his harpy of a step mother, comes in screaming he has to get a job, his father hears the screaming and runs in and falls, step mom calls the cops as Bradely is trying to his dad up. She tells them he has a knife then the officers asks her again she says "No, he left it in the kitchen".
Listen to this call. She is a complete creep and not scared for a single second. The Dod is trying to used this to justify emotionally abusing him. FAIL!
