Gwyneth Paltrow Food Magazine With Hearst Rumor Denied By Publisher

Gwyneth Goop

UPDATE: A PR rep for Hearst reached out to The Huffington Post, saying that they have no plans to launch a magazine with Paltrow.

PREVIOUSLY:
Gwyneth Paltrow may be expanding her publishing portfolio. Big time.

Paltrow, publisher of online living newsletter Goop (not to mention Academy Award winning actress and now, country music star), is in talks with Hearst Publishing to start her own food magazine, the NY Post reports.

The report cites a number of sources saying that the publisher is intrigued with Paltrow, who often covers their lifestyle and beauty magazines, though the publisher's PR denies any involvement at the moment.

It's a project that would make sense for Paltrow; she's become a well known foodie in the past few years, passing on recipes and different diets through Goop. She's also coming out with her first cookbook next month, and was featured in Food & Wine Magazine this month, detailing her favorite restaurants around the world.

For more, click over to the NY Post. To watch Gwyneth cook a shrimp taco, watch below.

Hmmm... after watching this video, I realized she's not that bad. This recipe is not at all pretentious and is something that could be made on virtually any budget. It's easy and quick andcould be prepared on a busy night. Sure she said "super" a lot but who doesn't have annoying habits? The way she said "Me-he-co" bugged me at first, but then I realized she was probably just being goofy.

Oh Gwyneth, Gwyneth. She really is talented in many ways, and intelligent. She is a world champ of TMI.

She shows all the hallmarks of having lived a charmed, privileged life. Experiment all you want, and if you fail, hey, no problem, boatloads of cash to the rescue. An enviable lifestyle - without consequences. If she did start a magazine, she'd get backers based on her fame, and when that failed, she'd still be fine. Most cool!

But she's getting a small glimpse at consequences, though, with opprobrium greeting each new dilettante move. And it's getting her upset - how strange it must be for her to feel a little bit like the rest of us.

Atta girl pretty typical Cali cuisine. Key ingredient definitely is the fresh cilantro. Nice job.

Yes she does. She eats. She eats water with lemon and cayenne pepper. And sometimes she eats grass and other raw, organic material. Like poop. And whatever else is expensive and trendy.

Love me some Gwynnie! I don't get why people pick on her. She may not be the best singer but at least we know she's a good self promoter. She's smart, creative and interesting. One can learn from her if they weren't so concerned with thinking a wealthy woman shouldn't rub their wealth in people's faces by sharing their travels and experiences like Gwyneth does on her website. There are plenty of people who were born into money and do nothing with their lives. At least she keeps herself busy and seems to be a good mother.
Okay, done rambling... Go Gwyneth!!

While I don't have a problem with her, she is clueless about how she comes across sometimes.

A little self-depricating humor, would do her image a world of good.
02:33 PM on 03/30/2011
PS. In roughly six and a half minutes, Gwyneth used the words "I" and "my" 40 times. That and phrases like, "the easiest and best way to cut an onion, in the whole world," make her sound like she's pretty full of herself.

While she means well, has good ideas and is probably a nice person, she lacks... humility.

because she is horrible and uncreative.

First a connoisseur of French toddler lounge wear, then self-proclaimed relationship therapist, followed by celebrity mediator and of course now God's gift to the cooking world. Saving the world, one shrimp taco and crappy show about high school choirs--at a time.

"She's become a well known foodie." This statement is too irritating for words. There are many women out there like Gwyneth, who have eating disorders, who spend their time fixated on food. That does not make them foodies.

Gwyneth used to be vapid but I like that she's showing some personality these days. Maybe being a wife and mother loosened her up. Good for her!

Reading the posts below it seems if you don't love someone you just gotta hate 'em. The goal of the game is to place someone just high enough on the fame ladder so you can kick it out from beneath them. Paltrows problem is she's too famous to be 'liked' but not quite famous enough to be untouchable.
01:28 PM on 03/30/2011
I agree! But I apparently dont know her personally like all the posters who really dislike her. They must know what they are talking about.
