Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher Eyed For Film 'What Would Kenny Do?'

Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher In Big New Film?

Justin Bieber had a box office smash playing himself, and now, he may be moving on to more challenging roles. Like playing Ashton Kutcher.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Bieber and Kutcher are being eyed for the lead roles in the long-gestating comedy script, "What Would Kenny Do?". The film is about a nerdy kid who meets his future self in hologram form; the hologram helps guide him through the trials and travails of high school.

On the proverbial Black List since 2008, the LA Times says that the original draft has been rewritten to be less raunchy and actually send the thirtysomething self back in time to help the kid.

The paper reports that Kutcher's production company will be producing the film with Sony. Kutcher would play the thirtysomething, while Bieber would take on his past self. The report says that Bieber is already on board.

Previously, Kutcher had spoken of his interest in Bieber reviving and taking over his MTV "Punk'd" show. Bieber gained a bit of scripted acting experience with a two episode arc on "CSI," playing a troubled teen that eventually gets shot and killed.

The teen pop sensation's 3D concert film/documentary, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," was released to warm critical reception, and big box office numbers. It's taken in over $72 million in the US, and $86 million altogether worldwide.

Kutcher's latest film, "No Strings Attached," a romantic comedy co-starring Natalie Portman, has made $70 million in the US and $134 million worldwide.
