April Fools Day Prank TV Shows From ABC

First Posted: 04/01/11 12:08 PM ET Updated: 06/01/11 06:12 AM ET

Charlie Sheen may need a new TV job, but this one is just a prank.

The network put out a fake lineup of spoof shows, combining pop culture with their current TV offerings. Included are "Mr. Sunsheen," an unlikely pairing of Charlie Sheen and Matthew Perry's new comedy, "Mr. Sunshine"; "White Castle," a recipe cooked up with their quirky hit police procedural starring Nathan Fillion, "Castle"; and "Extreme Makeover: Rome Edition."

Some work better than others.

Charlie Sheen is a genius. Watch the show. No one could ever replace him. He knows what he's doing. Everyone just loves to think the worse. And if he is sick..why doesn't someone step in and help the guy? The media loves a disaster story.

I will say one thing, nobody can ever accuse Charlie Sheen of being boring. I don't think he's as whacked out as he portrays himself to be. In fact I think he's just playing a character at this point. I thought he was in a manic episode but now I think different. Now is he burns down his house while freebasing that might change my mind. I am wondering if that machete he has is for the nosy paparazzi :)

Charlie is sort of an icon of negative inspiration. My grand son thinks he is funny, the more outrageous, the funnier. They are probably the same brain age, 14, so that is why. You can see what kind of role model is going on here. Suck up as much cocaine and alcohol as you can live through and run your crazy mouth and be physically violent. Sort of the crazy male version of the Lohan girl, and so it will be great if my grandson gets through Charlie without emulating the self-destructive commitment-worthy behaviors.

Not even Charlie Sheen can save "Mr. Sunshine."

it's the writing, isn't it? good idea, talented cast, Perry can carry a sit-com but the writing is terrible-they're always at work talking about stuff you talk about when you're not at work; weirdly incongruous and un-listenable

When Charlie cracks, there will be a hell of a lot of yolk to clean up.

Yeah....who's doing all the wiping of the walls and writing 'lemme please kiss yer a*s" letters to affiliates and advertisers? CBS, Lorre, Warner Bros.? Millions lost, in the toilet, bridges burned. (and Charlie still gets paid..., and has another job.) If he takes his manic energy, and turns it into creativity (like he did on the set of the show....for how many years?) the success level will stay the same. (To be fair, Charlie does have the 'Buyer-Beware' clause stuck to him- but he had that when CBS hired him....) Sheen pulled rank on his string pullers, yanked back, and brought the curtain down, on that show. (and stuck a Buyer-Beware' Tag to Chuck Lorre) There is much more going on here than meets the eye. A lot of unchecked behavior for years, for sure, but Charlie is not the only one to be accused of that.

I just hope he doesn't take out anybody else when he goes..

Yeah, right. Charlie Sheen is going to crack up and take somebody out.

Right after about five more years of doing Two And A Half Men.

I think you are being very optimistic, either that or you are not recognizing the severity of his illness based on his very public statements and his wild eyed appearance. I find it hard to believe that this is all an act with him.

I don't like him and never did but I like the other people in the 2.5 Men cast.
