International Pillow Fight Day 2011 In Chicago

PHOTOS: Chicagoans Gather For Outdoor Pillow Fight

Saturday marked International Pillow Fight Day in nations ranging from Taiwan to South Africa. Chicago had its own celebration on Michigan Avenue in Tribune Plaza. Around 100 Chicagoans of all ages arrived at 2pm prepared to swing some pillows and have fun on the seasonably warm afternoon.

This year was the fourth for the ever-growing event and the Chicago club alone has more than 800 fans on Facebook. All participants had to follow the rules of the club, like cleaning up any feathers that might escape and not swinging at people who are (unfortunately) not participating in the fight. This ensures a tidiness and a safe environment for onlookers.

Check out our gallery below of scenes from International Pillow Fight Day 2011 in Chicago. And if you weren't there this year, definitely grab your least favorite pillow and give it a swing.
