Hundreds of Zamalek fans stormed the field after a goal was disallowed late in Saturday's African Champions League match against Tunisia's Club Africain.

Winning 2-1 but still down 5-4 in the aggregate, the Egyptian team's third goal was disallowed due to an offsides penalty. The Zamalek supporters became furious, rushed the field and reportedly forced the Algerian referee to leave.

Fans were said to have attacked the players and lit flares on the field, causing the match to be abandoned.

According to Reuters, nine people were injured and Egypt's prime minister apologized for the incident.
