James Thielberg Gets Ten Years For 22,000 Images Of Child Pornography

Ten Years For 22,000 Images Of 'Sadomasochistic' Child Porn

James Thielberg, a 61-year-old from the Chicago suburbs, was sentenced Monday to ten years in prison for having a massive cache of child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's office says that a search of Thielberg's home revealed 22,000 pornographic images of children, as well as 186 videos, the Chicago Tribune reports.

In late 2009 and early 2010, federal agents posed as friends of Thielberg's on the internet to download files from his computer on peer-to-peer networks. The files revealed an extensive collection of child porn, which Thielberg had meticulously categorized into folders.

"The collection of child porn demonstrated a strong sexual interest in children, and more particularly, in pain, bondage and sadomasochistic behavior with children and infants," CBS 2 writes.

Thielberg, of Villa Park, will also have to pay $5,000 in restitution to the victims identified in his photographs and videos. He will have to serve 85 percent of his sentence before he will be eligible for release.
