Stephen Colbert Is So Over The iPad 2--Already (VIDEO)

On a recent episode of "The Colbert Report," host Stephen Colbert begged Apple shamelessly for an iPad 2.

Well, now he's got a slick new iPad 2 of his very own, and he brought it to the studio to show it off to his audience on Monday night's "Report."

"I got an iPad 2," he gloated. "It's so much thinner than the iPad 1. [...] I can check my emails, I can tweet, I can see my photos. It's everything my old iPad did, but this one is new."

After showing off the iPad 2's camera and snapping a photo of himself, Colbert began to look...bored.

"Anyone know when the iPad 3 is coming out?" he asked his audience. "I'm just so tired of this thing now. I just want something new, you know? I'm so tired of the same old, same old. I've got to get something fresh. Everybody does. Why do you think Newt Gingrich keeps trading in wives?"

Wow. That's a far cry from last week, when Colbert was practically sobbing about the iPad 2. "Oh my God! I need it! I need it! Give it to me! Is that the old one or the new one? I can't tell! It's just so beautiful," he exclaimed at the time.

Will the next release be enough to satisfy him?
