Colbert's British Tea Party: 'Report' Host Ruins High Tea While Preparing For Royal Wedding (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Ruins High Tea In Attempt To Be More British

One assumes that by now, most people who agree to do an interview with Stephen Colbert know that there will be a certain amount of tomfoolery involved. But in this clip from Wednesday night's "Colbert Report," it certainly seems like British historian and analyst Hugo Vickers was either not in on the joke, or he didn't particularly appreciate it. Which of course makes Colbert's antics all the more hilarious.

Giving the sardonic host a high tea service lesson with a stuffy British royal scholar must be the equivalent of giving a kitten a ball of yarn laced with catnip. The glee with which Colbert ruins the lesson and embarrasses the teacher is a thing a beauty.

And fortunately, this is only part one of "My Fair Colbert: Stephen Colbert's Crown Jewels," a series that promises to follow Colbert in his attempts to amp-up his British factor in time for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
