Donation Fund Set For Giants Fan Bryan Stow Beaten At Los Angeles Dodger Stadium

After becoming the victim of a savage attack at Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium, Bryan Stow remains in critical condition at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. However, his friends and family have rallied to his side to provide help.

Mercury News reports that a donation fund has been set in his honor at by the San Francisco Police Credit Union.

Many have already pledged support. The Los Angeles Dodgers team has pledged $25,000, the San Francisco Giants offered $10,000 and American Medical Response, where Stow works as a paramedic, has promised $5,000.

On Wednesday, Stow's fellow paramedics and coworkers organized a fundraising event in San Jose, Calif. to garner funds. It unexpectedly turned into a large, day-long celebration in the ailing man's honor, with more than 2,500 in attendance.

Greg Bowers, Stow's partner at AMR, held back tears as he grilled food at the event. He told ABC7:

"Just to see the support out here from everybody just really makes you feel good."

AP reports that a prayer vigil was held later that night. It was organized by The Wall-Las Memorias Project, a group dedicated to reducing violence and substance abuse among young Latino men.

Police say that Stow's assailants were wearing Los Angeles Dodgers paraphernalia and taunting Stow and his friends because they were wearing clothes in support of the San Francisco Giants. The suspects remain at large and a $100,000 reward has been offered for information leading up to their identification.
