Penelope Cruz, Woody Allen Reuniting For Film In Rome

Penelope Cruz Announces Next Film

It won her an Oscar nomination last time they worked together, and now, Penelope Cruz confirms that she's teaming up with Woody Allen once again.

Cruz, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her turn in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that her next film will be with the comedy legend. “It’s… it’s a movie with Woody Allen. But I really cannot say anything about the story or the characters," Cruz told the magazine's website.

Allen has declared New York City, the site of a majority of his most famous films, as now too expensive to shoot films in. The next movie he films, he said, will be shot in Rome. Allen's last big screen release, "You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger," was shot in London, while his upcoming film, "Midnight in Paris," was shot in the French city.

Cruz will next be seen in the newest "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, co-starring alongside Johnny Depp. She gave birth to a baby boy in late January.

She recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
