Facebook Planning To Enter China, Rumors Suggest

Facebook, as I'm sure you know, is blocked in China.

And being banned in a country that boasts roughly 500,000,000 Internet users is, of course, not exactly an ideal situation for a company aggressively looking for growth worldwide.
Now Facebook is rumored to have recently inked a partnership deal with a Chinese Internet giant in a move to enter the country (which, as some have pointed out, won't be a walk in the park any way you look at it).

Allow greedy Facebook to enter China, and continue throwing in jail Chinese activists who dissent. Placate the foreigners, fool the foreign press, bait and switch, while maintaining the Stalinist-Deng XiaoPing, Confucian Legalist authoritarian regime. Use the foreigners to help build China into an impregnable fortress. Facebook will allow "The Party" to "have face" in the international community, even making it look like a liberal market, but actually Facebook will be a lameduck, a placebo, a Potempkin. And Ai Wei Wei stays in Jail. This is the only reason to allow Facebook in, there is no need for Facebook since China already has regime monitored and controlled Ren Ren.

It's google-china all over again. They'll be so restricted it won't even serve any purpose. Especially after all the social media fueled revolutions taking place. But boy does that Chinese money start looking good. Why deal with the dollar when soon the dollar will be backed not by faith in the dollar but faith in the yuan. One of these days China won't link the value of the Yuan to the dollar when that happens then democracy will finally take place in China the American dollar will be relegated to second tier status. When that happens China might outsource to us.

Likely the republican plan, they're getting ready for this situation by trying to lower the minimum wage removing regulations. And soon child labor.
