I wish I could continue to have hope for Shyamalan, I loved the Sixth Sense and its slow, distinctive directorial style. So I have seen most of his other movies, which just get worse and worse and worse. It's like those bands that have one good album and then suck thereafter, and you keep wondering why they can't get it together...

I completely agree! The 6th sense was one of the most mind-blowing thrillers ever made, but I honestly feel that the success generated by that movie inflated Shyamalan's head to the point that he hasn't been able to look past his own "genius" since then.
