12 Things Glenn Beck Can Do With His Newfound Free Time (PICTURES)

First Posted: 04/11/11 08:46 AM ET   Updated: 06/11/11 06:12 AM ET

Glenn Beck announced last week that he is transitioning off of Fox News, and there has been a great deal of discussion over what exactly he will be doing with all his newfound free time. Will he get a new show? Or will he disappear from the media all together? It's hard to picture Beck retreating into solitude, never to be heard from again (as much as some people would like him to). In equating himself with Paul Revere, Beck indicated that it was time for him to get off the horse and fight in the revolution. Which revolution, we're not sure, but since he already led a successful revolution against advertising dollars, we wish him all the best.

We also couldn't resist adding a few thoughts of our own to the "What's next for Beck?" conversation. Check out the slideshow below and let us know what you think Glenn Beck is going to do with his free time now that he's out of a job.

Well, he can't join MY knitting circle! We're already past our legal limit of crazy.

He could co-star with Charlie Sheen in the upcoming Fox Entertainment Divisio's new show, "Two Half-Men."

Sorry HuffPo. I went through the whole list, and nothing rated over 2. There's just nothing funny about the guy.

Supposedly he is on a diet. He calls it the stick diet.

Hard to say though. After a year of listening to Beck carefully, I've come to the conclusion that nothing Beck says can be considered factual. Take everything Beck says with a grain of salt, enough salt to jack up your blood pressure.

Glenn should wear funny sweaters
and sell stuff no one needs in infomercials
at 3:00 AM. Like a lint steamer or a lotion
to grow shoulder hair.

Getting a college education SHOULD be his highest priority, but let's face it. Ignorance is working out GREAT for Beck.

In the year that I've run The Glenn Beck Review, there were many times when I had the sense that someone was passing along information about what I was writing about. A whole month before he tried to pass himself off as Paul Revere, I wrote the piece "Becoming Paul Revere" in order to get people to start spreading the word that THE LIAR IS COMING, THE LIAR IS COMING!

I definitely not taking credit for Beck's downfall, but I certainly became a thorn in his side. I made it my mission to expose Beck as a liar and a hypocrite, but that is not so extraordinary at Fox. It is, what they do there. No. I'm convinced that conservatives got the plug pulled on Beck at Fox.

I don't think that Ailes wanted to have Fox blamed for the re-election of Obama because Glenn Beck managed to get Michelle Bachmann nominated. Plus, as Jon Stewart said, Beck became a pain where the sun doesn't shine.

The fact that Glenn Beck refuses to take part in an intelligent debate/discussion with knowledgable pundits, legitimate journalists, ideological opponents and political satirsts (specifically Jon Stewart) is a pretty good indication that he's aware he'd be humiliated. As some of know, Beck occasionally invites adversaries on his show. But, they're always wimpish nuts who are crazier than he is. Glenn can be confidently humiliate those guys.

As for his audience, Beck never targets sane, relatively intelligent and decently educated folks. As Stewart has hilariously pointed out, Beck implores his viewers to "search their feelings". Has anyone reminded Beck that the "Star Wars" saga was a work of fiction? Facts, evidence, reasoning and logical conclusions have no place in "Glenn's World".

As mentally disturbed as I believe Beck to be, he's still cunning when it comes to fleecing his one million+ "believers". Unless Beck completely implodes, he's going to wring every possible dollar out of his worshippers. There are plently of "conspiracies" left to exploit. Combine those with the conspiracies and "doomsday" scenarios floating around Beck's noggin...and there's a huge potential for profit. His "Gold Scare" led to huge profits for his beloved "Goldline". Saavy.

I see Beck hosting his own informercial for "Goldline" (or some other exploitable product). He can both panic and exploit his audience in a single infomercial. I can also picture Beck starting-up his own "Ministry" (tax-exempt) using the same model (an added bonus for someone with a Messianic complex).
