After President Obama's big budget speech on Wednesday, video was released that seemed to show Vice-President Joe Biden nodding off in his chair.

After so much have been said about the snoozing of Vice. Pres. Biden, I really don't think he was asleep at all. I also do that close my eyes during a lecture or a homily to contemplate more on what I am listening to. You can actually concentrate more and really digest mentally the deeper meaning of what you're hearing. If Vice Pres. Biden were asleep, there's no way on earth he can keep his head upright. His head will tend to nod back and forth or worse, he will slump sideways to someone else's shoulder. That embarassing act indicates public sleeping. So let's give the Vice Pres. a break, he was contemplating or meditating on the speech of Pres. Obama because of what is at stake politically and he was defintely not sleeping at all.
