The devastating 9.0 earthquake in Japan on March 11 was one of the worst natural disasters in Japanese history, causing widespread damages, deaths, injuries and a tsunami.
Videos and photos of both the quake and aftermath have surfaced since then, and more than 14,000 are still missing.
But what did the earthquake sound like? The audio below comes from an underwater mike in the Aleutian Islands in the North Pacific Ocean.
