A University of South Florida student two weeks away from graduation died in an underwater cave-diving accident Sunday, the Associated Press reports.
Amy Ryan, 22, drowned after failing to surface in an underwater cave in Citrus County, Fla.
According to WTSP, Ryan was not outfitted with Scuba gear. The cave in which she was diving had claimed another victim several years before.
Ryan's boyfriend remembered her as a "perfect, smart, beautiful person."
