Monday morning at the Boulder Carriage House Community Table usually means an especially large demand for hot coffee and breakfast, since most of the day shelter's users spent the weekend outside.
But the small, 1,200-square-foot building at 11201/2 Pine St. is almost always filled to capacity with dozens of people who cram themselves into every nook in the dining room and upstairs tables.
"I love this facility," said Lisa Lightfoot, a 51-year-old woman who said she's using the Carriage House while undergoing treatment for cancer. "They just need to make it bigger."
