Boulder Seniors Are Signing Onto Facebook (VIDEO)

WATCH: Teaching Boulder Seniors How To Be Facebook Friends

You know how grandma appreciates nothing more than a nice phone call to tell her how you're doing? Well, why not just leave a message on her Facebook wall?

A local startup called Fidatto is making that their very goal, as they run classes at The Academy in Boulder Colorado to teach seniors how to use Facebook.

Fiona Schlachter, the founder of Facebook app Fidatto, said the company gathers user data from Facebook and that recently they've seen a lot of seniors signing onto Facebook.

In a video from the Daily Camera, one woman points to the computer screen to gain some clarity on how to use Facebook. "So you can create an album, and you can drag the album out here and move it to the desktop?"

"Right," the young volunteer says uncertainly.

Of course as tech-savvy Boomers transition into seniordom, it's inevitable that the senior community become a more visual presence on the web, and on Facebook.
