What do you get when you combine a century-old building with artistic vision? In Denver, it's an Alice Starek-designed loft in the old Volker building built with fellow members of the Rocky Mountain Architectural Artisans Guild.

This Gaudi-esque home manages an intimate cabin-like feel while defining itself with more whimsical outlines. The loft features two bedrooms and two bathrooms located just across the street from the Pepsi Center and measures 2,319 finished square feet.

Mrs. Starek is a Boulder-based architect who used to work for a firm that designed churches.

Listing agent Aimee Twarogowski says the loft is completely unique.

"You have never seen anything like this extraordinary loft ... You have to go to Barcelona to find anything comparable. The owners have juxtaposed architecture with art to form an artisan masterpiece."
