We recently had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, stars of "The Trip," the new comedy from Michael Winterbottom which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night, and they had plenty of thoughts on British comedy, American politics and each other.
The mocumentary-style film follows Coogan and Brydon, playing heightened versions of themselves, on a road trip through the English countryside. The rapport between the two British comedians has achieved legendary status, which Winterbottom previously used to great effect in 2005's "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story." So we couldn't resist asking them to weigh in on some of our favorite subjects.
Watch our interview below and make sure to check out "The Trip" when it comes to theaters on June 10th.
