Emma Watson Leaving Brown University

LONDON — A spokeswoman for Harry Potter star Emma Watson says she will be transferring from Brown University to another university in the autumn.

Vanessa Davies denied reports that the 21-year-old actress was "bullied out" of the Rhode Island university, saying there was no truth in reports by a number of online publications who cited classmates and "insiders".

Davies said Saturday that Watson, who plays Hermione in the wizard movie series, has decided to pursue a different course not offered at Brown.

She added that the star "has absolutely loved her time at Brown" and made many good friends there.

Watson has recently taken time out of her studies to focus on her movie career. She has said that her first days in college were difficult.

Davies did not identify the university Watson will be transferring to.

She's probably looking for a real university so is heading back to the UK. The trivial pursuit training grounds that call themselves "liberal arts colleges" on the east coast of the US are a joke.

I don't know why people are praising her for this move. She quit Brown for Lancome. That move goes against everything she said last year in magazines about education is important and she belongs at Brown. Do you know she tweeted a week before Brown's spring term about getting ready to go back. She never did and guess what? That tweet is gone, lol. Lancome came about and she took it. End of story. She's no different from any other actress looking for more fame and money. People really don't pay attention to what this girl does after she says it.

I have now got the obsession of now saying "3 points for Griffyndor­" whenever my child going to Brown gives a correct answer.

Sorry that I am harassing him! Good that he is not famous like Emma Watson and so, I will not have so many people condemning me.

I leave it to you all to be smart enough to say whether I am saying all this with sarcasm or with attempted levity.
