A former Hartwick College student is suing the school claiming he was the victim of fraternity hazing.
During a ritual at the Alpha Delta Omega fraternity, Michael Warren claims he was hit with so hard with paddles he required medical attention. He also says he was kept awake by a strobe light and dressed as a pimp.
"No one should have to go through what I went through in order to be a part of a brotherhood," Warren told the New York Daily News. "This experience has abruptly changed my life."
The emotional distress of the incident made Warren too upset to return to school. He lost his scholarship at Hartwick and has since transferred to Hofstra.
