Albert Haynesworth Indicted On Sexual Assault Charge

WASHINGTON -- Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor sexual abuse for allegedly fondling his server's breast at a Washington hotel.

A grand jury returned an indictment formally charging Haynesworth. The waitress' allegations have been reported by the media after the alleged incident in February.

If convicted, Haynesworth, 29, faces up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

According to the U.S. attorney's office, the government's evidence shows Haynesworth slid a credit card down the front of the server's dress and fondled her breast.

Telephone and e-mail messages left for Haynesworth's agent, Chad Speck, were not immediately returned. At the time the server's accusations became public, Speck said "there seems to be no truth to these allegations."

Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie said the team was referring all calls to Haynesworth and his agent.

Dump the drinks on him, kick him in the baIIs, but really you want to get lawyers and get paid? This is why I can't understand women, you just don't get paid for everything bad that happens to you in life. If you have never had anybody grab your b.o.o.b without permission they must be of the lesser variety, and if it upsets you that much, perhaps join a convent instead of waiting tables.

Being from Washington, DC and following this story, while I would never condone this man's behavior, but what kind of waitress tells a customer to put their credit card in her top because she has her hands full of drinks. This woman gives all those women that are truly sexually assaulted a bad rap.

What a pig! I hope the Redskins give a big wet kick to his barn door butt right off the team and into oblivion. Redskin fans are so used to Dan Snyder's stupid ideas (Haynesworth, McNabb), that they still go to games and hope to actually see two teams play and win once in awhile. When this guy left the Titans, they threw a party to get so much money for damaged goods and the poorest attitude (maybe), in the NFL. It's not a good idea to go toe to toe with Shanahan, Haynesworth will find no team wanting to take a long shot on him. In five years, he will be at KFC, cooking chicken.

A grand jury can indite anyone or anything. No defensive case is made to a grand jury, only the prosecutors evidence is presented. I just hope he can get his life and career back on track.

Shannahan needed a scapegoat for both his and his son's awful coaching. Now something that was a non-incident a few months ago is blown up into a full investigation with possible jail time. Haynesworth should just leave DC and never look back. Go to another team where he will probably be a superstar. Next year without Haynesworth, the Redskins will still be in the bottom and the Shannahan's will have a new scapegoat.

Haynesworth isn't going to be a super star until he learns football is a team sport. Especially on defense, there is no place for a prima donna who only knows how to run one defensive formation. Maybe a few months in jail will cure him of his over inflated ego.

When this story first came out it was reported that Haynesworth, seeing that the waitress' hands were full, asked if he could put his credit card in her blouse. She said yes. Haynesworth did just that and decided to check out the neighborhood. Lesson for the kids: when you're that unlucky you need to behave
