The Royal Wedding 2011: Estibalis Chavez, Hunger Strike Teen, Turned Away From Prince William & Kate Middleton's Wedding (POLL)

Estibalis Chavez, Hunger Strike Teen, Turned Away At London Airport

Estibalis Chavez, a poor Mexican teenager who famously went on hunger strike outside the British embassy in Mexico City in a bid to get an invite to the royal wedding, was turned away at a London airport by guards who told her she did not have enough money for a safe place to stay during the event, the Associated Press reports.

Octavio Fitch Lazo, a Good Samaritan who was moved by Chavez's determination, lent CHavez $1,250 for her flight to London and drove her to the airport in Mexico City.
