MTV Picks 'Best Tweet Of The Year': What's Your Favorite?

MTV has named the "best tweet of the year" in honor of the inaugural O Music Awards, which stream live online on April 28 at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. PT).

The honor goes to Kanye West, whose tweets have been acted out by little kids and paired with New Yorker cartoons.

Here's Kanye's winning tweet: "I hate when I'm on a flight and I wake up with a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle."

Although Kanye was the only person nominated for the award, selecting a single gem was a difficult task, according to a statement released by MTV. Other contenders included, "dating models I had to learn to like small dogs and cigarettes" and "I specifically ordered Persian rugs with cherub imagery!!! What do I have to do to get a simple Persian rug with cherub imagery uuuuugh."

He is a misunderstood artist who comes off as arrogant probably because he has trouble dealing with being in the public eye but is forced to be in that position because of his talents (and if you think he has a choice, feel free to ask Universal Music Group and see what they have to say about that). Honestly I bet if any of you spent a week hanging out with him you would find him to be an extremely polite and cultured individual, but all you can do is judge him based on his public persona. Give the man a chance.
