More To Come

Will have full analysis and draft grades at the conclusion of the draft on Monday exclusively for @HuffPostSports Lastly, I told y'all that 5 QBs wouldn't come off the board in the first round! Will have more analysis all weekend.

Bowers not going in the first rd is scary. Someone is going to get a helluva football player tomorrow.

Initial reactions to first round: Steals were Jimmy Smith, Wilkerson, Prince Amukamara and Cam Jordan. Record 12 DTs came off the board.

Final Analysis

Very athletic tackle who can run block. Packers will coax him along. He's raw right now but in time could be a starter at LT or potentially RT. The SB champs don't have many holes. Sherrod is a project, but I don't mind the pick at all.

Would have thought GB would have gone with a more traditional pass blocker though for Rodgers

Green Bay Time

The Super Bowl champion Packers draft offensive tackle Derek Sherrod from Mississippi State.

Heyward Analysis

Another versatile defensive linemen (what else is new), who can get to the QB but is also motivated to stop the run. Pittsburgh will groom him along and make sure he gets every ounce out of his ability

Jets Analysis

Super pick for Rex Ryan and the Jets to get Wilkerson, who gets to stay home. Really like the fit here. Wilkerson can rush the passer as good as anyone, and I had him graded as a top 15 talent.

Steelers Time

The Pittsburgh Steelers take Cameron Heyward, defensive end from Ohio State.

04/28/2011 11:25 PM EDT

Jets Pick

The New York Jets draft Muhammad Wilkerson, defensive tackle from Temple.

Carimi Analysis

Been loving this kid for four years. Huge lineman who will battle every single play and play all over the line. Will really help Matt Forte and the Bears' running game. A first-team All-American

Chicago Picks Fast

At 29, the Chicago Bears draft Gabe Carimi, offensive tackle from Wisconsin.

Ingram Analysis

His teammate, Bama QB Greg McElroy, told me he has excellent hands and is a very hard worker. New Orleans is realistic about Reggie Bush's future and knows it needs another tough runner who can catch balls out of the backfield. Ingram is a physical runner in the mold of a Pierre Thomas who should make an immediate impact.
