She did make up for cameras which has to be heavy. But for normal wear---way too much foundation. looked caked on all the way to her hairline.

she looked old though, because she is now too thin and has ZERO superficial fat layer. Gievn that I am sure they are going to want to get pregnant quick, she's going to have to put som more weight on. Thank goodness. She's definitely underweighty katy at this weight.....

It;'s always all about the pix.

Professionals do makeup for the cameras not amateur brides. It doesn't look like professional make up for the camera, it just looks like bad overly done painted on makeup. It didn't make her look pretty. It detracted from her natural appeal. And why the pale lip stick if it was for the camera that made her look sallow with deep dark smoky eyes. A very unbalanced look.

On the contrary, there is a rule about makeup for colored photography. What you see is what the camera will show. Heavier makeup is only good for black and white photography.

She did not need to darken and make heavier her already dark and defined eye brows; they only needed a little shaping.

Her blush was far too heavy and in the wrong place. If she had used a neutral blush for contouring under her cheek bones, she would have looked so much better.

I believe she will look back at her wedding photos with regret, but, oh well, we live in the days of airbrushing and photo shopping.

It was a shame, though. Her makeup diminished her whole look.

As for her weight, she looks great! It was perfect to show off that spectacular tudor-inspired dress.

The most important thing, here, is that William looked at her with great love and told her that she was lovely ....beautiful.

Having been a wedding coordinator for a period of my varied life.....wedding makeup, in this case, should be photograph ready.....and stage ready. She could have been easily washed out. The crowd was at a distance and she could fade away. It is a problem when you have close ups on

I personally didn't like the makeup. Too much eyeliner for a day ceremony and it made her look old.

Old and harsh, not soft and delicate like a bride should look. It sure was caked on.

I hope she'll be taking some make up lessons while on her honeymoon. She's going to need them.

All in all, I think Kate did a remarkable job with her makeup. Bridal makeup needs to be applied in a dramatic fashion, for the photographs.

Not for colored photography.

Is there anything about Kate that's good enough for you?

She has a lovely smile and she appears to be a nice person. What's your beef if I voice my opinion on her appearance. Do you know her personally? From the tone of your post it appears that you are related to her.

She had on way too much blush and her lipstick did nothing for her. I'm surprised she didn't have someone come in to do her makeup; I don't think anyone would have throught twice about it.

THAT stripe of blush hasn't been seen since Cosmo 1978.

The wedding is over. But she certainly did not do herself justice in the hair, makeup or attire department. She could have looked one hundred times better with the correct advice and the use of professionals. She looks harsh, older than her years and her entire appearance unfortunately could have been so much more lovely.

It will be her regret when she views those photos, especially years from now. She's a commoner and she made herself look more common than she actually looks. The V neck line was not even becoming on her. Now we can look forward to more photo shots of her in the months and years ahead. I just hope someone hides her black liner. It's so out- of -date, as is that stripe of blush!

She did look quite common in both makeup and dress. Hopefully she will learn and grow as Diana did. But this gal is 10 years older than D was at her wedding, so maybe not.

The dress was exquisite, and she looked incredible in it. It suited her, the tudor inspiration was perfect for the occasion, it was beautifully made -- one of the most beautiful wedding dresses ever.

It's the makeup that made her look older, not the dress.

So much dirt, so little time.

Not a bad job considering how beautiful she looks in photographs. She wanted to look like herself and I know far too many brides who go the professional make-up artist route and then they don't even resemble themselves in their wedding pictures. The only negative is that she probably could have used a little more concealer under her eyes. She looked a little tired.

I thought she looked awful. Like Elton John applied her makeup in a drunken binge. Way to heavy.

She looks beautiful! And she's a brunette, so she can pull off the dark eyeshadow. I'm a blonde, and I just end up looking like a raccoon with colors that dark.

Its really a shame she close to do her own makeup...already with the veil on you could see she had way too much blush. She's so pretty, she doesn't need those hard eyeliner lines...
I would have loved to see a professional allow her natural beauty to come through with a softer look. That said, she still looked fab!
