I have asked the Guardian and Alison Flood to correct their false report, this is NOT the first CHinese translation of GABO, it was done in Chinese in Taiwan years ago and PEnguin China has confiremd as well.....get your facts stragiht, Alison Flood, and don't confuse commie China iwth the real CHina, which is free and democratic Taiwan whihc uses real Chinese script not fake Chinese charcters like MAo 's China....

BUT BOOK was published in Chinese... in Taiwan ....years earlier....

there has
already been a translation in complex Chinese characteres in free and democratic Taiwan

You are correct this is the first authorized publication in the People’s Republic of Communist China PRCC (simplified script characters), with the complex character edition published in Taiwan many years ago.
