Former NFL cornerback R.W. McQuarters was shot in the back as he was leaving a friend's house in north Tulsa late Friday night, KTUL-8 reports.
The ex-New York Giant was said to have been struck as he began to drive away. The suspect was described as wearing a ski mask.
According to the report, McQuarters drove himself to the hospital and his condition is unknown.
He played 11 seasons in the NFL with the 49ers, Bears, Lions and Giants.
