Hope you folks liked my sugesstion, bet on ALL the lonshots,use a budget of about $200 if u can,& you will walk away with a Smile.! I did on "Nehro,"should have added make it to "place"alot safer than to "win".In any case picked second &third had Animal Kingdoms Amazing "LAUGH" at us on my FacebookBEFORE he won, up all week. also HIS photo they gave a Full page to (before) the race.Hint, Hint, all these add up, his mug didnt get their by accident, he is very Spiritual,blessed:.XXoo Love you Mr."KING".

I'm stumped by this race.I have some criteria I use to pick Derby winners and this year it keeps spitting up Uncle Mo and Soldat.

I guess I have to use them both in my exotics.

Hi Paul.Did u Ck Out "Nehro"? I bet him to Place,he paid well. How do you like a brand new suprise champ,way ahead by 2/half lenghts,? "Animal Kingdon".? Well I got hammered. I had put otgether a Trifecta Part Wheel that included Nehro on top with Mucho Macho Man, Shackleford and yes even Master of Hounds. My tri ticket came in second third and fourth in tact, I even had the super basically but with Animal Kingdom jumping up I was out of it! I hate the whole synthetic thing, it presents a real challenge to handicapping. It's bad enough the synthetics are different from dirt but they're even very different from each other, Poly, Cushion Tapeta etc.

I was at Churchill, I go every year, which means I still haven't actually seen the race!

Headed to the Preakness next, shoudl be interesting I don't know what Animal Kingdom is going to do. We will see.

Slide #11 Master of Hounds

It is not his American debut.

Bleacher Report is saying it is, but they're wrong - he ran in Kentucky last year. He was sixth in the BC Juvenile Turf ON THIS VERY RACETRACK, Churchill Downs in Louisville, on Nov. 6.

An epic example of how HuffPo copies the work of others and doesn't do it's own reporting - if you did some research instead of aggregating, the error wouldn't be there. Someone else makes an error and you copy it blindly because you don't do your own work. Rich.

Also, slide 16 (Animal Kingdom) says Barry Irwin is the trainer. He is NOT. He is the owner, the principal for the Team Valor partnership. Graham Motion trains the horse.

Yeah I gave them cr@p the other day for not having anything up here just stories about basketball star stabbing wives and arrested college football players.

Sadly this great sport which only 50 years ago was among what was this country's big three sports at the time: Baseball, Boxing and Thoroughbred racing, is rapidly fading in appeal. It's a shame it's just a wonderful sport

Wow guys. Uncle Mo is not the favorite (he is 9-2, not 5-2, making Dialed In the favorite at 4-1), Sway Away is not even in the field, this is not Master of Hounds' first start in the country, Santiva is not Irish, and a number of other inaccuracies....

Without a doubt Calvin is a great rider, but I don't think even he can help Twice The Appeal out. I realize he brought Mine That Bird home two years ago, but TTA isn't even Mine That Bird. He'll probably prove me wrong Derby Day though. But you're right you leave any mount with Calvin riding him out of your mix at your own wagering peril.

Great Calvin Borel story, I was in the Walmart near Middletown the Sunday morning after the Derby. My wife ran in to buy up some derby glasses before we headed back to PA. The cashier told her she just missed Calvin by a few minutes, he was in buying some groceries that morning!

Calvin Borel makes the big day,Our "ROYALTY" the song, the hats, the most magnificent racehorses in the world. It is glorious & Calvin is the Bright shing star here. To think he may have his Horse "TWICE THE APPEAL" do history again.Very Exciting to see this event Saturday!

Nice sentiments and the Derby is a great spectacle. Calvin however was lucky to even get a mount in this year's Derby and this nag isn't the one to improve his record. Of course I'm willing to eat a little crow come sunset Saturday.
