This Is My Next's Joshua Topolsky reports that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer just took the stage at the BlackBerry World Conference to announce a new Bing and BlackBerry partnership.

Going forward, Bing will be the default search and map service on BlackBerry devices -- no word on whether it will be future devices or legacy phones as well. neowin notes that BlackBerry OS had its own map service, but "it was lagging far behind the competition." Stay tuned for any other big Microsoft news out of BlackBerry World.
