Rupert Murdoch Ducks Questions About Phone Hacking Scandal (VIDEO)

Rupert Murdoch dodged questions from Media Matters on Saturday about the phone hacking scandal that is engulfing one of his British newspapers.

The liberal website took a page out of Bill O'Reilly's book and sent one of its writers, Joe Strupp, to ambush Murdoch at a brunch in Washington on the day of the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

The phone hacking scandal at the News of the World--where celebrities and members of the royal family had their phones hacked into and their messages listened to so the paper could get scoops--has led to an official apology by Murdoch's British subsidiary, News International, as well as assurances that the paper will compensate victims.

"Can you assure Americans that there won't be any phone hacking by the New York Post?" Strupp asked. "Or by Fox News?"

"I have nothing to say," Murdoch responded. "...Nothing at all."

Strupp tried to ask more questions, but Murdoch stonewalled. "Go away," he said. "I'm not going to say anything to you." His wife, Wendi, also spoke to Strupp, saying, "he's not going to give you an interview."
