Donald Trump On Osama Bin Laden: 'I Hope He Really Suffered A Lot'

Donald and Melania Trump stepped out to the Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum on Monday night, where, although fashion was the theme of the evening, the outspoken magnate didn't hesitate to share his thoughts on Osama bin Laden's capture and death.

"I think it's so great that he was caught and I hope he really suffered a lot, to be honest with you," Trump told a row of red carpet reporters. "And I suspect he did. But he's a bad guy, and that's what happens."

He referred to the servicemen as "great people that were able to do this so well and so surgically," but confessed that he didn't know if much would change now -- "I don't know. We'll have to see."

When asked if he thought Pakistan was harboring the al Qaeda leader, he called it "a little unusual."

On Monday morning Trump issued a statement congratulating President Barack Obama and the United States Armed Forces.
