Doug Stanhope is one of the most original comic voices working today. A raconteur in the style of the late Bill Hicks, the wildly abrasive Stanhope regularly discusses religion, politics, the media, sex and other taboo subjects onstage -- always with a drink in hand.
We had a chance to talk to Stanhope about his hesitation to accept the official story on Osama bin Laden's death, as well as his feelings towards Donald Trump and why he doesn't see much live comedy.
Stanhope can be seen this weekend in New York City at Caroline's On Broadway, as well as Falls Church, VA and Philadelphia, PA over the next few weeks. His tour dates can be found on his website, as well as information on ordering his new CD/DVD, "Oslo: Burning the Bridge to Nowhere."
