Jason Terry Ties NBA Playoff Record: Mavs Guard Hits Nine 3-Pointers In Game 4 Against Lakers (VIDEO)

Dallas Mavericks sixth-man Jason Terry took over Game 4 against the Los Angeles Lakers and tied an NBA playoff record, knocking down nine 3-pointers.

He nailed five 3-pointers in the second quarter, leading the Mavericks to a 24-point lead at halftime. The 33-year-old went 11-for-14 from the field and scored a game-high 32 points.

"The way they play defense -- they suck in -- you've got to be ready to spot up and shoot the shots, and that's when I'm at my best," Terry said. "Without the penetration of J.J. [Barea] and J-Kidd [Jason Kidd], those looks wouldn't have been there. I just had my feet set, ready to shoot."

hitting nine three pointers is hard. he was 9 of 10! thats amazing. go to your local gym and take 10 three pointers. you'll be lucky to hit 2.

NBA 3's are much harder than college /high school 3's. A good shooter can hit 10-12 college 3 'sout of 20 in practice..at the NBA range, 8/20 is a good stat. those extra 4 feet make a big differerence..this makes terry's performance all the more remarkable!

This record should have an asterisk in front of it. The previous record-holder was playing against a team that actually attempted to defend once in a while.
