Lost 'SNL' Sketch: Great Women Writers Throughout History (VIDEO)

WATCH: Lost 'SNL' Tribute To Great Women Writers

When "SNL" goes live to the world, it's the second time the entire show has been performed that evening. Between the earlier rehearsal performance and the live broadcast, sketches are often edited, tweaked, and occasionally cut entirely due to time constraints.

One such sketch from Saturday's show might have been a lost gem if it weren't for the magic of Hulu and a tweet from SNL-writer John Mulaney that we happened to catch.

Written by Mulaney, Marika Sawyer and Simon Rich and featuring a sublimely malicious voice over by Bill Hader, this "tribute" to the great women writers throughout history has classic "SNL" written all over it. Too bad it didn't make the final cut, but we're delighted it's now seeing the light of day.
