Samsung D9500 3d Tv

Introducing: the world's biggest 3D TV.

Samsung has unveiled the behemoth D9500 smart TV, a 75-inch internet-connected 3D television unit.

While several high-profile 3D devices have recently launched featuring "glasses-free" technology, Samsung's LED-backlit super-wide flatscreen requires the traditional 3D viewing specs.

This gargantuan panel, which is currently available only in Korea, also comes with a QWERTY remote control and starts at 19,000,000 South Korean Won (around $17,600).

Engadget reports that this beast will be available in the U.S. for $13,000, come August.

See the Samsung D9500 3D TV on display (below) and share your opinion below.

$13,000 for a TV? If you have more money than brains, it's a real deal. The rest of us can worry about feeding our families and paying the bills.

Size is good. Price is too high.

I didn't look at the TV. I was staring at the model herself.

"Sy0430.lim@samsung.com" is the email address on the bottom of the screen. I think I'll sent it a message.

3D TV is a joke. The only thing it's good for is to help the continuing dumbing down of the movie industry as more and more scrips are written with the sole purpose of setting up scenes where something pops of off the screen.

Wow. $13,000 for 75"? 3D or not, I've put less than $9,000 in my home theatre w/ a 106" screen, and that includes the cost of the 7.1 receiver, blu-ray, speakers, sub, in-wall wiring, lighting, tensioned electric screen, 1080p DLP projector and reclining seating for 6. 'Yall can keep your direct-view big screens.

I just hope that you keep the box... my movers ( http://www.divinemoving.com ) have a box for a flat screen TV that can fit up to a 55" panel.. we need to rethink our boxes every few years but this 75" is crazy!! thankfully the apartments in NYC are not so big and most can't fit a tv larger than a 46"

Which is why they're selling at a record pace? Apparently everyone wants one but you.

Love it for Call of Duty up-scale, 3D, and streaming

Who's the smart one?

Anybody remember when we bought nice TVs and kept them for years and years until they stopped working?
09:04 AM on 05/10/2011
Let me guess, you're still buying DVD's right?

Dude, these guys are on the forefront of TV technology. If I'm going to buy a new LCD TV, I'll likely buy one that has the 3D feature.

It's a race to capture market share.

But hey, we're all stupid ...and you're the smartest ...RIGHT

The Nintendo 3DS gave me a headache after looking at it for two minutes. I'll pass on that for my son. No telling how it will screw with his eyesight in the long run.
