WATCH: Teen Crashes Into Yogurt Shop

An Escondido teen had a close call with a yogurt shop Sunday morning, plowing through the front of the store.

The 17-year-old driver had just his learner's permit, according to 10News. Luckily no one was hurt.

The SUV plowed into Yogurt Universe around 11:30 a.m. PDT.

The boy's mother, father and two siblings were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Diane Schmitz was opening the shop as the car came barreling in, according to 10News. A surveillance camera caught the whole incident on tape.

"It didn't seem real. It totally didn't seem real," Schmitz told the ABC affiliate.

The family immediately apologized for the teen driver's accident.

"I mean, he was completely in a daze, as I was. He couldn't believe what he had just done," she added.
