Jon Stewart Derides Bush Administration For Taking Credit For Killing Osama Bin Laden (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart got back to talking about Osama bin Laden on Tuesday night's "Daily Show," this time focusing on George W. Bush's role in his capture, or should we say lackthereof?

When former Bush Chief-of-Staff Andy Card publicly said that President Obama was "pounding his chest" and taking too much credit for the killing of our #1 terrorist, Stewart had to ask: who really killed Osama bin Laden? If you watched television last week, you might say the Bush Administration did.

Dubbing them "Nine's Eleven," Stewart pointed out the nearly dozen people appearing on morning news and talk shows last week, offering credit to George W. Bush credit. Karl Rove, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney and more made it seem like "he invented bullets," as Stewart put. But where was Obama's team of back-patters? Stewart noted that the only person doing the TV show circuit on behalf of Obama was National Security Advisor Tom Donilon.

"The Bush administration hits you with shock and aw and you've got one guy no one's ever heard of?" Stewart said. "This guy better be Rambo."

Sadly, Donilon is not Rambo, and his appearances didn't stop other pundits from taking credit away from the Obama administration. Some pundits went back as far as three presidencies, to Bush's father. One even tried saying that President Ronald Reagan was somehow responsible. As you can imagine, Stewart had a fit:

"They took it back to Reagan, the guy responsible for funding he Taliban in the first place!"
