Weekend Events in Los Angeles May 12 - May 15

If you want something more active than lounging by the pool but working out is too ambitious, here are all the in-betweens this weekend.

What: Reclaiming Fun with the Underground Rebel Bingo Club.
Why: There are drinks and prizes. Maybe not a whole lot of Bingo.
When: Sometime Friday night.
Where: You'll have to make a request (see site) to get that info.

What: Get cultured at 2011 Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Art.
Why: Because it’s good to support the art community even if you can’t afford a painting.
When: Thursday through Saturday, times vary.
Where: La Cienega & Melrose Ave Design District.

What: Do Shakespeare with The Comedy of Errors.
Why: It's the last night of the run, it's the Bard's shortest play, and this one's got burlesque.
When: Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.
Where: A Noise Within, 234 S. Brand Blvd., Glendale, 818-240-0910

What: Of Montreal, getting weird up in da club.
Why: Because with them it's not just the music, it's the whole trippy experience.
When: Saturday, 6:30pm.
Where: Avalon, 1735 Vine St., 323-467-4571

What: Get natural with the Spring Plant Sale.
Why: Where else can you find Black Krim tomatoes and purple beans and all manner of weird vegetable seedlings? Plus it's kind of a scene.
When: Sunday, 10:30am to 4:30 pm
Where: Huntington Gardens, 1151 Oxford Rd., San Marino, 626-405-2100

What: House Tourin' with the American Institute of Architects.
Why: Discover the difference between Venice and Santa Monica styles. And get inside some fancy houses.
When: Sunday, 11am to 4pm
Where: Specific tour locations available to ticket holders.
