'Being Bin Laden' Web Series Stars Steven Weber, Fred Savage (VIDEO)

First Posted: 05/13/11 09:46 AM ET Updated: 07/13/11 06:12 AM ET

We all know that Osama bin Laden loved making videos, but did you know that he had taken his passion to the next level and was working on his first reality Web series? Neither did we.

Such is the premise of "Being Bin Laden," a new Web series from writer and producer Ricky Blitt starring Steven Weber (yes, that Steven Weber) as Osama bin Laden (yes, that Osama bin Laden). Oh, and Fred Savage shows up as Osama's Jewish, soon-to-be-son-in-law (yes, that Fred Savage).

This is just a taste of the full pilot, which will be screened at this year's Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. For tickets to the screening, you can go here.

Thank you for posting a "taste" of the pilot, and listing the people in it. This way I can know to avoid anything they ever do for the rest of their careers, along with anything resembling this video.

For those who think this bile is funny, I got a movie you'll plotz over: An American Carol.

wow... u know, M.E. people never, ever had/have American-Humor... they take everything seriously with their ideology. that's why said, it only takes their very own western-educated-people with their very own culture to govern themselves in U.S. way--and that's the only way of winning the M.E. war.

I have never seen anyone try so hard to be so politically correct to, I think, the demacratic views. I'm not sure, it may be a bit of liberal mixed in there.
We should use up the oil in all the other countries that don't need it for any good reason, before we use all of our reserves. Can you image how high the prices of oil & gas would be if we had none left, & were trying to then buy it from those other countries? They don't regulate things like cadilidic converters or auto inspections anyway, making all those other countries responcible for more polution than the U.S. anyway. And they don't pay their workers decently or give them healthy working conditions anyway!!

Wow, I was deceived! When the title said "what famous actor" I immediately thought James Woods. But, it's Steve Webber? Never heard of him. But, he does have an uncanny resemblance to James Woods.

very bad taste...and acting. you said famous actors. who are actors steven weber and fred savage? although i rejoice over America's victory, i do not rejoice or make fun of any man's death, not even an enemy. America did what America had to do and made the call which resorted in bin laden's death. a call that bin laden made also because of his horrific ill crime! i'm thankful our president Barack Obama didnt find it amusing by issuing pictures or dragging his deceased body around as an open display. that was tasteless America. we got our man and any one else who imposes harm, death and death threats to this country. this is who we are!

they're not making fun of his death. They're making fun of his views.

Which is just as ok as removing him. Bin Laden made no sense and all the comedy does is to clarify that.

Before you're too concerned about the killing, make sure you don't forget that there's something called the death penalty in the US. Lots of people are being killed for much less compelling reasons.

Bad timing. It's time for their community to heal. Respect must be given even if one has opposing beliefs. As a Christian I do not rejoice at his demise nor do I laugh at jokes about his former life. It was a sad ending to a tragic chapter. Let's all move forward to more enlightened ideas than mocking the passing of someone else's leader.

it is not bad timing

You've written the best satire on HuffPost that I've read this week. Worthy of Swift. Keep up the good work.

BTW, IMHO not bad timing. Just BAD.

Very funny! Means that there will be a death sentence put on the actors and producers. I GUESS THAT THERE WILL BE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY THAT WILL JUSTIFY THAT (FATWAH-Placing a death sentence)) LIKE THEY SEE A MORAL EQUIVALENCY BETWEEN THE ISRAELIS AND THE PALESTINIANS.

This guy is great....everyone knows BIN was not human.
12:48 PM on 05/14/2011
Yes, he was human. And so are those loudly mocking his death. All human. All filled with human error. Let's forgive the sins of others and move forward. Let's not rejoice in the pain of another.
